The Gifted

Chapter 1

The story begun hundreds of years ago when my ancestors had dealt with supernatural beings. It was a shocking revelation for me since I don’t believe in their existence. It was a great battle fought not only for existence but for survival as well. I called those formidable enemies “beasts” because they prey on human blood .Though they are living like ordinary humans with extraordinary wits and charm, they feed on human blood to live and infect those prey they want.

The time came when almost all of their clan nearly brought to extinction because of the rise of the gifted twins a pure blood from my clan; Anastasia and Anna. They are called the gifted because they have such powers that even beasts could not defeat. Until one day, Anastasia did a forbidden thing that made my ancestors very angry and when they had found out her secrets, she was cast out and never been accepted again.

It was then that a new breed was born in the Kaorin clan. The Kaorins are the ancestors and leaders of those monsters. Nicholas Kaorin is the father of  what they call “the gifted”.  The gifted are unique in their very own sense for they do not hunger and thirst for blood, they live like normal beings yet possess eternal youth and long life as long as they are not destroyed… they cannot be destroyed and they are highly intelligent, powerful and fear-some. They possess unusual superiority and status. But a tragic past had resulted to the birth of  the other gifted and resulted to Anastasia’s death and the birth of the rebels. John Kaorin who is one of  the first of all the gifted and acts as their leader and they are called the Kaorin seven, the result of  the forbidden relationship between Anastasia and Nicholas Kaorin. My ancestors had finally accepted the Kaorin seven and my clan made an agreement between them living peacefully and in harmony together .

Time has come when the Kaorins decided to produce another breed  but it never happened again. It was believed that another gifted must be born to give them that very special gift. A gifted that has not been born for some centuries now and the Kaorin seven had waited for a very long time. Until that day I was being born.

This is the story that changed myself, my entire being and my whole life when I met them. The story of  a never-ending battle to struggle, to deny my very own existence and learn to love what I hated most. This is the story when I met John Kaorin who gave me that life and Chris Burns who never left me until the end. My sister…my only sister Amber. I am Anne Marie Collin, born from the purest of the Collin family, the family that gave the very precious gift to all the beasts but then paid the price. My sister and I paid that very bitter price…

This novel is entirely English and I started it a year ago but it was not finished and in script form. I am looking for someone who can help me edit my work. I just tried to write it in English but it’s very hard for me to finish it. The story is a fantasy, horror, suspense and romance.
